This is the COTO I know
I first played this event in 2009.
That was the only time I played Intermediate.
Pease Park.
It's still a Top 5 Texas Course for me.
Sprinkle, Ranch, Pease, Twin Parks Gold, Ingleside Gold.
Anyways, Pease was just something else.
I could play it all day.
2010 I went to Advanced.
2011 I went Pro, but didn't play COTO. I was working at Disc Nation on the weekends.
Pease park was also gone.
COTO moved to MetCenter.
The first few years of that course were awesome.
I played that course 4-5 times a week up until 2017ish.
From 2012 to 2019, I never missed COTO.
I almost won it in 2015. That was the first year I really made an effort to compete.
COVID & Mint ended that streak in 2020. No COTO.
In 2021, we took over HOTT.
I took over COTO.
2022 was a B-Tier.
In 2023 we made it an A-Tier for the first time.
2024 Sprinkle Valley
Dream come true.
Even though I was just a few years into playing when we lost Pease, it still impacted me.
At that time I didn't do much in the Austin scene besides play in mini's.
I was just a player.
Now we get to host it at Sprinkle.
It's like being back at Pease.
This place is so welcoming to disc golf.
And we've already had so many awesome events here.
- USWDGC | PDGA Major x1
- THE OPEN | DGPT Elite+ x2
- COTO | DGPT Q-Series & A-Tier x3
- NADGT | Championships & A-Tier x2
- HOTT | Finals x3
- NADGT | 2026 A-Tier
Plus a ton of C-Tiers, some Armory B-Tiers, and all the leagues last year.
COTO is the one I'm going to focus on the most going forward.
Slowly freeing up the time to get this event where it needs to be.
Next year I want to hit 500.
Goals.
