New baskets were installed today at Roy G thanks to the Central Texas Disc Golf Alliance.
NADGT committed to donating projects for like this a few years ago behind the scenes.
With the help of DGA and the Austin Parks Foundation the CTDGA was able to get these new baskets in time for the Capital of Texas Open.
I’m really excited to see this new alliance forming. The initial board covers just about corner of the Austin disc golf community and its storied history.
It’s a way to grow disc golf together with unified a vision. It will hopefully take a lot of the burden off of singular businesses and player donations as well.
The next CTDGA event will be at the Travis County Parks “For the Love of the Parks” festival on May 17 at Richard Moya park.
I’ll be setting up a 9-hole pop-up course among the beautiful pecan trees at the park.
This is a great way to learn about other parks while also sharing our love for disc golf with everyone else in the Austin community.
Hope to see you there!
