Forward Momentum (Day 145 of 365)

Day 3 of COTO!

Just another hour or so left.

Just finished the raffle.

Processing MA1 payout in the next few minutes.

Really enjoying how COTO shaped up this year.

The event ran pretty smooth. There is small stuff that always happens but no major misfires.

If you want to be the best in the Capital City you have to go through one heck of a gauntlet this weekend.

A & B Pool play Roy G, MetCenter and Sprinkle. 3 distinctly different courses, and thanks to the new baskets at Roy G, you have to also conquer 3 different baskets styles.

C Pool swapped Live Oak for MetCenter, which is honestly just about the closest thing you could get to a "mini-Met" style.  They also play Roy G and Sprinkle(w/ new short tees!).

MetCenter and Live Oak are the "open air" bomber courses. MetCenter is known for it's extreme OB during COTO. Both courses tend to reward distance throwers if you can power your way to the pin.

Roy G is a technical and wood courses, but with forgiving rough and next to no OB to have to mentally deal with. The game is pretty simple but demanding - throw drivers and shape lines if you to score. Most players take a lot of jump shots.

Sprinkle is it's own beast as we know. The most technical course in Austin. Subtle elevation changes on most holes. Tall pecan and walnut trees. You get zero forgiveness when you miss your tee shot, but the putts are pretty easy when you throw good shots.

Time to wrap up payout and awards.

Oh.

Don't forget about the OB Open tomorrow too!
