This was a pretty cool weekend.
We really don’t travel much as a brand.
The vision before was to make disc golf travel to us. That Disc Capital of the World mentality.
So it was cool to take a trip to Disc South this weekend.
The trip has two purposes: engage fans and meet the industry peers.
Upon arriving we started meeting a lot of people we had only known via media and reputation. A lot of people I had never met, but had known or followed for 15+ years.
As the doors opened on Saturday, something was apparent; We didn’t know anyone who was coming through the hall to see us.
These were all fans we only knew by username, email or address.
So we knew them. But we didn’t really know them.
We’ve been living in our own bubble I guess.
It was cool to be outside of it for once.
We ended the night at the new Another Round Dallas with Andrew.
I’m really happy for him.
Dallas you are lucky to have him and Russell.
The entire night reminded me of working in the store back at Disc Nation.
Everyone is happy when they buy a disc.
Thats why it’s fun to work in the store.
(also why I try to work the SV store more now)
So it was cool to just have some space to be happy away from our bubble.
This job really is a lot easier when everyone is there to be happy.
So let’s make happy places.
Give ourselves a chance to be happy.
Stay Mint.
