On Hole 17 his new Destroyer was flippy. But it came back in behind the wall.

My Grackle shoe shank lifted all the way across the horns. Right to left. 

My Grackle was barely OB.

His flippy Destroyer was safe.

I didn’t wear the right shoes.

One pair of shoes.

Here comes that hole.

Didn’t trust it. Too tight.

Olse’s tees up his flippy Destroyer.

I don’t remember what he does next. Or if he was even OB. I feel like I maybe missed it. 

But I do recall him throwing Grackle later from the fairway. Maybe that was it.

Flips it over the walls. Wide right. OB. I think hah.

I was kinda focused on my 2nd.

Have to take this middle gap. Don’t trust forehand. Play your best shot. Yours.

So I gotta go backhand. Just right and over the walls. Then finish down the middle gap.

Has to clear walls. Be safe, but still have enough on it to go Forward.  Not too fast. Gotta hit something neutral. But perfect.

Mid is too slow in the wind. Touchier.

2. Apex Grackle.

I am aiming at the right side of the fairway.

The cedars.

I’m also trying to play the wind to help move it more left while I focus on the forward.

Need to hit it flat but not too nose up or nose down. And some hyzer. Maybe.

It’s exactly what Olse just tried before me.

Safe.

Olse does something. I didn’t remember it. I think it was safe.

I have no idea what Olse shot for the round. I didn’t ask to keep his score.

I am pretty sure he was kicking my ass. It felt like it.

But I am pretty sure I won that hole.
