One of my favorite things this summer has been mowing Sprinkle Valley really early in the morning.
I was so beaten up the last two years, I just never got to really slow down and maintain the place.
If I walked out there, all I saw was projects. Overwhelming.
We eventually accomplished our main goals.
Now this place needs to be at that level 7 days a week 365 days a year.
Anyways, I like mowing it in the morning for a few reasons.
For one - it's not oppressively hot or humid yet.
The course stays pretty cool at night once the sun sets on the valley.
There is usually a low hanging fog over the field on Holes 11, 12, and 16-18.
This is also when I get to see the deer and wild animals doing their thing.
It's just me and them.
It's the absolute best time to be out there on the course.
Just taking in the beauty that we share with them.
It also reminds me of the 3 or 4 months when we had Sprinkle all to ourselves.
The bar wasn't open yet. The Mint store wasn't either.
It was just an empty parking lot, some trails and a bunch of dreams.
It's pretty hard for me to walk through the venue now without having to stop to talk to someone. Taking time is part of my job. I can make or break someone's day if I spend time with them or don't. I try to make it the best for each person that wants to talk to me, especially for people that are just passing through to check it out.
Anyways.
That 6am to 7am sunrise hour at Sprinkle. That's my time.
No one elses.
Me and the course.
And some grass to cut.
Enjoy Mint.
That grass growing fast af right now.
