Today the DGPT announced their 2026 schedule.
Austin will be back again as an Elite+ event for the second year in a row.

One of the biggest changes for the schedule this year is that the "Texas swing" is moving to May instead of March.
Austin is the only Elite level event and WACO is moving to the new JomezPro series that will be supporting the DGPT.
This change of schedule should be a net win for everyone.
It frees up March for the first time in decades, so we'll see some schedule shifting happening as result. It slots DGPT right between where we historically have the Mint Discs Open and the Capital of Texas Open.
May is also peak spring time here in Austin. The trees are full of leaves. The grass isn't burned yet, and the flowers are in full bloom. We'll hopefully have mid-80s and clear skies here in Austin.
It also gives us nearly two more months to get the course ready for this event. That extra time is a welcome change for Sprinkle Valley.
I am planning to take a different role with this years event. Right now(things change), I will primarily be focused on supporting Mint and less involved as "the Sprinkle TD". It's time to let some others step up into that role if they want it.
I plan to still be pretty involved in Sprinkle course prep and event promotion, but once we get to the 7th, I want to be able sit down in the field on 17 and crack a few beers with friends and enjoy what we've built for once.
