I played two rounds today.
The first one was at Sprinkle with Dan, Alan, and Adam. Grackles only.
Video exists. I had a lot of fun.
Playing with friends.
Mentally free.
The second round was at Boggy.
Random draw doubles.
15 holes. Pop up baskets. New holes every time. The boxes are dirt and grass.
It’s been going on for close to a decade.
It’s the type of disc golf I grew up with.
A happy place.
I’d pay $10 just to be there and I don’t care if I win or not.
I partnered up with Jesse Pinson today.
He one of the main reasons I went full in to disc golf.
We went to high school together too.
He got an ace today.
We got an eagle.
He made all the clutch putts.
I parked a 15ft island with the weirdest double bounce I’ve ever seen.
We tied for first at -10.
It was friends, and some discs and some baskets.
Gimme more of that.
More rounds with Jesse.
More amazing shots.
Time for myself. Time around good people.
This was my second year being a part of a big event at Sprinkle.
I had most of the mental tools I needed to do it.
Our team is a lot more experienced. They know how to get a course ready. They know how to run an event.
The event also validated something I’ve had lurking in my mind for the last 6+ months.
Sprinkle Valley has to be everything for Mint.
It has to have my entire focus.
You only get so many chances to go do something like this.
This is where disc golf can go.
Let’s take it there.
It was great to throw with yall yesterday man. That was my first time at boggy and playing a pop-up course and it was amazing. Jesse’s ace was 10/10. Absolutely stoked for the next round with yall.
Completely agree with you on Sprinkle, and I’m happy to help wherever I can.
Get amazing people together, and watch amazing things happen!! Keep it up ZJ!
Sad I wasn’t there for boggy :(
Love it!
