I’ll be honest.

Don’t know that I’m really interested in talking about Gonzales.

Often times these are the hurdles that come with the job.

Little ones I left for myself.

The Bear yet again taught me that in the season finale.

Stop throwing out hurdles that take away from what you need to do.

Gonzales.

Two or three years ago we were sitting at HQ. Me and some staff.

Tournament was going on around us.

A snake came strolling through.

Right into our circle of chairs.

Took one look at us.

Showed it’s fangs.

Cotton.

Fuck.

Yeah I jumped.

Nope rope.

I’ve had so many little memories like this at events that I can’t really remember if the next part was the same weekend.

I’m not sure which year is which. This blogs helps it blur less.

I was driving from the Ranch to Gonzales on a Sunday morning.

Gonzo used to be two days. AM and Pro day.

Before the era of flex starts.

It was about 5:30 in the morning.

I had been playing a lot before the event. I was signed up to play.

I planned to play.

Mentally and physically.

I hit a hurdle.

A pack of hogs.

I didn’t stop.

Car was running. I knew it was bad but I could still get to the gas station.

It was dark and I didn’t want to hang out with 30 hogs and their dead friends.

It was a big pack.

I drove on vibes.

Called folks to come help.

Got to the gas station near the course and parked.

The radiator was busted. The fluids dropped out almost instantly. All over the parking lot.

I didn’t play.

Is the course haunted like Mitch said?

Transmission. Snakes. Hogs.

Even with 3 wins, I’ve lost plenty of money in that town.

I keep going back.

Don’t know when I’ll play.

Overcome the hurdle.

Leave it all out on the course again.
